ICD-9-CM Code Update
September 26
Audio Conference
11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
ICD-9-CM codes are updated annually with multiple additions, revisions, and deletions that effect accurate health care coding and billing. This year is no exception, with over 300 code changes, including 73 new and expanded neoplasm codes, as well as 42 new V codes. Once these changes are released, home health agencies have a narrow window to educate staff and prepare for implementation.
This teleconference will review the pertinent code changes that take effect October 1, 2008. Case study application of new and revised codes will provide examples of accurate use of the newly released codes. Clarification of changes, deletions and application of the new codes will prepare staff to code accurately and further ensure accurate agency reimbursement.
