Dear Members:

The challenges facing the home care community are daunting, yet there are also great opportunities in the state and federal health care policy arenas for positive change. Membership in the Home Care Association of New York State (HCA) enables individual home care agency members to join together, forming a collective voice directed at achieving and securing a policy and regulatory environment that is beneficial to the home care community.

2007 was a banner year for HCA, resulting in many successful legislative initiatives that were advantageous for member agencies. And in cases when favorable legislation did not come to fruition, HCA built a strong foundation of legislative groundwork, setting the stage for success in 2008.

Assisted by the commitment and energy of the membership, HCA will again achieve positive outcomes in our legislative and regulatory agendas for 2008. We will continue to bring to you valuable member education programs aimed at arming you and your staff with the knowledge necessary to meet the challenges of providing quality home care.
